samuel l jackson the secret service villain 'The Secret Service': Samuel L. Jackson to play villain in new Matthew Vaughn movie

Matthew Vaughn is gathering quite the impressive cast for his new comic book adaptation, “The Secret Service.” The movie already stars Colin Firth and Taron Egerton, and now Samuel L. Jackson has joined the cast as well.

According to Variety, Jackson will play “The Secret Service’s” villain, while Firth and Egerton are playing its two heroes. The general premise of the story is that a veteran secret service agent (Firth) takes a “young upstart” (Egerton) under his wing.

“The Secret Service” is Vaughn’s second adaptation of comic book writer Mark Millar‘s work, as he also created “Kick-Ass.” Vaughn also directed 2011’s “X-Men: First Class.” “The Secret Service” is currently in pre-production with a 2014 release date.

Jackson is also no stranger to comic book adaptations, as he also stars in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as SHIELD’s Nick Fury.
