Well, it didn’t take long for Sharon Osbourne to retract her comments about “The View,” after she caused a bit of a stir on “The Arsenio Hall Show.”
The hosts of “The Talk” were Arsenio’s guests when he asked about their opinions on “The View.” It didn’t take long before Sharon chimed. She shared her love of Barbara Walters, before adding, “The rest can go f*** themselves.”
In an effort to play nice, she apologized on Thursday’s episode of “The Talk,” saying, “I have to own this. I’m fully responsible for myself, some of the time. Unfortunately I was inappropriate and I was trying to be funny at someone else’s expense.”
After mixing up the named of “The Talk” and “The View,” Sharing apologizes to each of the hosts individually, especially pointing out Whoopi Goldberg. “Whoopi is an Oscar winner, who am I to say anything about Whoopy?” she questions.
It seems like Sharon just got a bit carried in the moment. However, Osbourne’s co-host Julie Chen tried to deflect some of the blame, saying that they’ve been answering the question for four years and “I guess people were not happy with the same boring answer.”
Of course, anyone who has seen the video knows it wasn’t a reaction to the “old boring answer” that got Sharon going, as she interrupted Julie while she was explaining the differences in the two shows.
