x factor sweet suspense eliminated 'The X Factor': Sweet Suspense on Fifth Harmony comparisons and what's nextThe members of Sweet Suspense were still getting to know each other when they were eliminated at the beginning of the “X Factor” Top 12 elimination show. All three members auditioned individually, but like Fifth Harmony before them, Simon Cowell put them together in a group he thought could go the distance.

Although the members are devastated to be leaving the competition — they’re in tears backstage as they talk to Zap2it and other reporters after the show — they’re grateful for everything they’ve gotten. “The highlight of this entire experience has been gaining two sisters — two best friends. The fact that 100,000 people auditioned for the show and we came in 12th place. It makes me so happy, but obviously there are tears,” says 16-year-old Celine Polenghi.

“It sucks and we would have loved to have gone further, but I’m proud of us for how far we went and really excited to see what’s in store for us next,” says Mille Thrasher, 14.

Unfortunately, because all three of the girls are still in high school and live in separate corners of the country, their future is uncertain. “I am from Miami, so I have absolutely no idea what we’re planning to do,” Polenghi says. “We are obviously planning to stick together, that’s for sure, but as far as what’s next, I think a much-deserved big long talk is in store. And a few hours of sleep.”

Just because they didn’t make it further in the competition doesn’t mean they don’t have a future. Just ask Fifth Harmony, who didn’t win last year but are arguably the U.S. “X Factor’s” most successful contestants. “They came over and talked to us just now and said keep going,” says Summer Reign, 17. “We are compared to them a lot so it was really cool to have them come up to us and tell us not to give up and keep your heads up.”
