Ever since “30 Rock” ended, we haven’t seen as much of Tina Fey as we’d like. Thankfully our favorite funny lady stopped by the “Late Show with David Letterman” on Wednesday (Aug. 21), where she talked the 2013 Emmys and revealed that, since production stopped on the show, her grooming habits haven’t been quite so up to par.
After host David Letterman asked if she was excited to attend TV’s biggest night next month, Fey admitted she was, though it wasn’t just because the final season of her brainchild was nominated.
“I gotta get out of the house. I have not combed my hair since the Golden Globes,” Fey joked. “I’m home with the kids, which is great. But now, [I’m] a human napkin for the kids. They just wipe their face on you.
“The show ended in December and I sorted realized, like, when you don’t have a bunch of people whose job it is to fix your hair and they go ‘Put this dress on’ and stuff — I thought I was a decent looking person, and it was such an immediate drop-off,” Fey added, much to Letterman’s amusement.
It’s clear that the late-night host wasn’t buying it — and neither were we. We thought Fey looked pretty great on Letterman’s set, if we do say so ourselves.
