TLC is debuting a new reality series Wednesday (April 9) called “Women of Homicide,” which takes “an unprecedented look at life as a female detective in the male-dominated world of homicide investigation.”

Check out these sneak peek clips and meet the three women — Jenny Luke and Jennifer Mitsch of Cincinnati and Summer Benton of Atlanta — who work tirelessly as homicide detectives to put killers behind bars.

The show will explore their unique challenges of balancing personal responsibilities with the demanding job that keeps them working at all hours of the day and night. In the premiere episode, titled “Ten Dollar Homicide,” a young father is shot and killed while out walking with a friend.

“Women of Homicide” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.
