BP CEO Tony Hayward reportedly had a day off from all this tedious and troublesome Gulf oil spill testifying that’s been messing up his life.
The New York Daily News reveals that on Saturday (June 19) Hayward and his family enjoyed watching his 52-foot yacht “Bob” compete in a very posh race off the Isle of Wight shore.
Needless to say, this news did not please residents of the Gulf Coast.
]]><![CDATA[Most people were already feeling a little testy toward Hayward, who had intimated that Americans would file bogus claims for spill compensation. He also stated that no one wanted to resolve the crisis more than he did, saying, "I'd like my life back." To counter Twitter and Facebook outrage, another BP spokesman Robert Wine said this is Hayward’s first vaca since the Deepwater Horizon rig exploded on in late April “He’s spending a few hours with his family at a weekend,” said Wine. “I’m sure that everyone would understand that.” He added “It’s a well-known event in the British calendar. He’s entitled to private time with his family.” Do you understand? Bet the chocolate-covered birds don’t either.
