Tracy Morgan is officially out of the woods after the six-car accident that left him seriously wounded. His publicist announced that he’s been released from the hospital and transferred to an undisclosed rehab center, where he’ll stay for a few weeks.
“While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go,” Morgan’s representative says in a statement, via ABC News. “He and [his fiancée] Megan [Wollover] wanted to publicly express their deepest gratitude to everyone at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for the unbelievable care and attention they provided him.”
When the former “30 Rock” star was hospitalized on June 7, he was said to be in critical condition. On June 16, he was upgraded to fair condition. At the time of the accident, it was revealed Morgan’s leg and several of his ribs were broken.
Also injured in the crash was Ardie Fuqua, while comedian Jimmy Mack (real name James McNair) died. The Walmart truck driver who is said to have caused the crash, Kevin Roper, pleaded not guilty to vehicular manslaughter.
