Wednesday was a pretty good night for the broadcast networks, as a number of shows built on their ratings from last week. “American Idol” and the season finale of “Criminal Minds” both jumped significantly over a week, and “Modern Family” was up as well for ABC.

“The Middle” and the series finale of “Suburgatory” also ticked up for ABC, and “Survivor: Cagayan” rose for CBS. The “Arrow” season finale and “The 100” were steady for The CW.

CBS led the night overall with 9.9 million viewers and a 6.2 rating/10 share in households. FOX (8.8 million, 5.4/9) came in second. ABC (5.8 million, 3.7/6) beat out NBC (5.1 million, 3.4/6) for third place. The CW came in with 2.05 million viewers and a 1.4/2.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, CBS’ 2.2 rating narrowly beat FOX’s 2.1 for the top spot. ABC took third with a 1.7, followed by NBC, 1.4, and The CW, 0.7.
