idol s10 top 13 judges TV ratings: 'American Idol' results show dominates a rerun filled ThursdayFast National ratings for Thursday, March 3, 2011

“American Idol’s” first live results show of the season probably would have led Thursday’s ratings regardless of the competition. But the other networks made it even easier for FOX by airing reruns almost across the board.

As a result, the Thursday “Idol” delivered its best numbers of the season, giving FOX an average of just under 25 million viewers and a 13.7 rating/22 share in households for the night. CBS (9.3 million, 5.9/10) finished a distant second but was the picture of health compared to the other nets. ABC (4 million, 2.6/4) came in third, followed by NBC’s 3 million viewers and 2.0/3. The CW trailed with 1.15 million viewers and a 0.8/1.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, FOX’s 8.1 rating beat the combined total of the other four networks. CBS was the best of the rest at 2.0. NBC took third with a 1.4, edging ABC’s 1.2. The CW drew a 0.4.
