“America’s Got Talent” grabbed Wednesday’s biggest audience and led NBC to the overall ratings lead for the night, but it was a pretty soft one overall for the networks.

NBC averaged 7.2 million viewers and a 4.4 rating/8 share in households for the night, down about 700,000 viewers from last week. CBS (6.4 million, 4.1/7) finished second, followed by FOX at 5.7 million and 3.5/6. ABC (3.8 million, 2.6/5) came in fourth, and The CW trailed with 1.1 million viewers and a 0.7/1.

FOX managed to squeeze out a win in the adults 18-49 demographic, albeit with only a 2.1 rating. That was just ahead of NBC’s 2.0. CBS scored a 1.7 to finish third and was followed by ABC, 1.1, and The CW, 0.4.
