tomorrow people premiere ratings TV ratings: 'Arrow' returns down but 'The Tomorrow People' has decent start WednesdayFast National ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013

Ratings for The CW Wednesday were a little bit of a bad news-good news situation. The bad news was that “Arrow’s” season premiere was off a good amount from its series debut a year ago (though it was in line with its final few episodes of last season). The good news was the premiere of “The Tomorrow People” did a very good job of holding its lead-in audience and posted pretty decent numbers.

Elsewhere Wednesday, the big four networks all finished below last week as everything from “Modern Family” to “The X Factor” to “CSI” dropped a little. Among the few exceptions: NBC’s “Revolution” was even with last week, and ABC’s “The Middle” rose slightly in viewers while holding steady in adults 18-49.

CBS led the night in viewers with 9.7 million along with a 6.2 rating/10 share in households. ABC (7.2 million, 4.6/8) edged FOX (7.1 million, 4.4/7) for second. NBC took fourth with 5.6 million viewers and a 3.7/6. The CW (2.5 million, 1.6/3) trailed.

ABC and CBS tied for the lead among adults 18-49 at 2.3. FOX was right behind with a 2.2 rating. NBC scored a 1.4 and The CW a 0.9.
