The NFL Draft on ESPN took a big bite out of the broadcast networks’ ratings Thursday night. “The Big Bang Theory” was the night’s top show as usual, but it scored its lowest rating and smallest audience of the season, falling by 1.5 million viewers and seven tenths of a point in adults 18-49 vs. last week.

“Grey’s Anatomy” was also down for ABC. So was “The Vampire Diaries” on The CW, while the American Comedy Awards put up modest numbers for NBC. On the plus side, “American Idol” and the finale of “Surviving Jack” ticked up for FOX.

CBS drew 8.8 million viewers and a 5.6 rating/9 share in households for the night. ABC (4.94 million, 3.5/6) narrowly beat FOX (4.9 million, 3.1/5) for second. NBC (3.2 million, 2.1/4) finished fourth, and The CW (1.5 million, 1.1/2) trailed.

CBS led the 18-49 demographic as well, scoring a 2.0 rating. FOX came in second with a 1.5, followed by ABC at 1.3. NBC earned a 1.0 and The CW a 0.6.
