world series 2013 game 6 ratings TV ratings: Red Sox and FOX celebrate World Series win WednesdayFast National ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013

The clinching game of the World Series for the Boston Red Sox provided a big ratings win for FOX Wednesday night, giving the network its best Wednesday numbers since January.

Elsewhere Tuesday, “The Middle” and “Back in the Game” held steady for ABC, but “Super Fun Night” and “Nashville” were both down some. Ditto for CBS’ lineup, and The CW’s “Arrow” and “The Tomorrow People” also dipped. “Revolution” was flat for NBC.

FOX delivered just under 18 million viewers and a 10.6 rating/17 share in households for the night, pending updates for the live telecast (it will likely go up in the final nationals). CBS (9.75 million, 6.3/10) was the best of the rest. ABC took third with 6.3 million viewers and a 4.1/6. NBC (4.4 million, 2.9/5) finished fourth, and The CW (2 million, 1.3/2) brought up the rear.

FOX’s 5.4 rating among adults 18-49 nearly beat the combined total of the other four networks. CBS finished a distant second at 2.2, followed by ABC, 1.8; NBC, 1.2; and The CW, 0.6.
