scandal oct 31 13 ratings TV ratings: 'Scandal' leads a quiet Halloween ThursdayFast National ratings for Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013

Ratings were down some Thursday, as a combination of lower overall viewing because of Halloween and a handful of reruns made for a relatively quiet evening. “Scandal” ended up as the night’s top show among adults 18-49, holding steady with last week in the demographic and rising slightly in viewers.

Also Thursday, “The Millers” and “The Crazy Ones” both fell with a “Big Bang Theory” rerun leading off the night. “The Vampire Diaries” dropped as well, but “Reign” maintained its 18-49 rating from a week ago (though it was off a little in viewers). “The X Factor” ran a clip show from its early rounds, and not many people tuned in.

CBS led the night in viewers with 9.4 million, along with a 5.9 rating/10 share in households. ABC (8.4 million, 5.3/9) finished second. NBC (4.45 million, 2.9/5) took third, but its numbers may change some as the network’s Cincinnati affiliate aired an NFL game. FOX (2.6 million, 1.7/3) was fourth, beating out The CW’s 1.85 million viewers and 1.3/2.

ABC topped the 18-49 demo with a 2.6 rating. CBS scored a 2.0 to take second. NBC came in third with a 1.4, and FOX and The CW tied for fourth at 0.7.
