super fun night premiere ratings TV ratings: 'Super Fun Night' has decent start Wednesday while 'Ironside' opens softFast National ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013

The debut of “Super Fun Night” scored pretty good ratings for ABC Wednesday, holding onto most of the lead-in audience from “Modern Family,” which was even with last week’s premiere.

The news wasn’t as good for the night’s other series debut: NBC’s “Ironside” premiered below last year’s “Chicago Fire” debut in adults 18-49 (though slightly ahead in total viewers) and finished last in its hour.

Also Wednesday, “Survivor: Blood vs. Water” and “CSI” ticked up for CBS. ABC’s “Nashville” and FOX’s “X Factor” were both pretty steady. NBC’s “Revolution” and “Law & Order: SVU” dipped from their premieres a week ago.

CBS led the night overall with 10.2 million viewers and a 6.4 rating/10 share in households. FOX (7.8 million, 4.8/8) edged ABC (7.6 million, 4.8/8) for second. NBC came in fourth with 6.3 million viewers and a 4.1/7. The CW (1.45 million, 0.9/1) brought up the rear.

ABC and CBS tied for the lead among adults 18-49 at 2.5. FOX was right behind with a 2.4. NBC posted a 1.6 and The CW a 0.5.
