ncaa final ratings 2013 TV ratings: 'The Voice,' 'Revolution' and the NCAA championship game all rise MondayFast National ratings for Monday, April 8, 2013

Ratings for the NCAA championship game improved quite a bit over last year as Louisville and Michigan played a classic Monday night. The metered-market ratings are 18 percent ahead of last year, and the fast nationals are up a good amount too.

The big numbers for the NCAA title game didn’t really steal audience from other shows, however. “The Voice” was up from last week for NBC and scored its best 18-49 ratings in a year. “Revolution” improved slightly as well. The season finale of “The Carrie Diaries” had its best showing in a month, while “The Following” was steady in adults 18-49.

CBS delivered 15.9 million viewers and a 9.6 rating/15 share in households for the night, pending adjustments for the live NCAA telecast. NBC (11.2 million, 6.8/10) edged ABC (11.1 million, 7.5/11) for second place. FOX finished a fairly distant fourth with 5.2 million viewers and a 3.3/5. The CW drew just under 800,000 viewers and a 0.5/1.

CBS also led the adults 18-49 demo with a 5.5 rating. NBC was a strong second at 4.0. ABC came in third with a 1.8, followed by FOX, 1.6, and The CW, 0.3.
