toy story of terror ratings TV ratings: 'Toy Story of Terror' scores for ABC Wednesday, ALCS solid for FOXFast National ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013

Pixar’s first TV special, “Toy Story of Terror,” drew pretty strong ratings for ABC Wednesday, helping the network tie for the lead among adults 18-49 in primetime. ABC shared the top spot with FOX, whose coverage of the American League Championship Series continued to bring in solid numbers, and CBS.

It was a decent night across the board for the broadcast networks as a number of shows were up a little from their ratings last week. “Arrow,” “Modern Family,” “Law & Order: SVU” and “Criminal Minds” all rose. The CW’s “Tomorrow People” dipped slightly in viewers but improved among the 18- to 34-year-old viewers the network targets.

CBS led the night in viewers with 10.1 million and a 6.3 rating/10 share in households. FOX (8.1 million, 5.1/8) finished second, pending adjustments for its live telecast. ABC took third with 7.5 million viewers and a 4.5/7. NBC (5.9 million, 3.8/6) came in fourth, and The CW drew 2.6 million viewers and a 1.7/3.

ABC, CBS and FOX each averaged a 2.4 rating among adults 18-49. NBC was a point off the lead at 1.4, and The CW posted a 1.1.
