“Jimmy Kimmel Live” is taking it’s love of “Scandal” to a whole new level with an entire episode themed around the show. “Jimmy Kimmel Live: Behind the Scandalabra” will feature an interview with “Scandal” creator Shonda Rimes, along with secrets shared by cast members, a never-before-seen blooper real and an airing of each of Kimmel’s “Escandalo” shorts. “Jimmy Kimmel Live: Behind the Scandalabra” airs Thursday (April 17) at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC.
“Banshee” has added four more new cast members. Meaghan Rath (“Being Human”), Chaske Spencer (“Twilight”) and Tom Pelphrey (“Guiding Light”) will all appear in recurring roles in Season 3 of the Cinemax series. They join Langley Kirkwood (“Black Sails”), who is will be a series regular. [TV Line]

– HBO put the first season production of “The Leftovers” on hiatus for a short period of time. The break will happen between episodes 6 and 7 of the 10-episode series, and won’t affect its June 15 premiere date. In a statement, HBO says, “We put ourselves on a tight schedule, and we decided to give our production a short hiatus to prep our final episodes.” The hiatus is said to last for only two weeks. – Discovery will air five nights of live programming from Mount Everest base camp beginning May 5 at 11 p.m. ET/PT in advance of daredevil Joby Ogwyn’s “Everest Jump Live,” scheduled to air on the network at some point in May (weather permitting).

– Starz has ordered its first unscripted series, “The Chair,” a docuseries that will follow two directors making films from the same script. It comes from “Project Greenlight” producer Chris Moore, and the directors are YouTube comedian Shane Dawson and filmmaker Anna Martemucci.

– Syfy has gone straight-to-series with “The Expanse,” which they describe as an epic space opera. The hour-long drama will get 10 episodes, with a pilot written by Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby (“Children of Men,” “Iron Man”).
