Damian Lewis has been announced for the cast of the BBC/PBS production
“Wolf Hall.” Lewis will play Henry VIII, alongside Mark Rylance,
portraying Thomas Cromwell. The series, which will air as part of
“Masterpiece” on PBS, is an adaptation of Hillary Mantel’s novel of the

– Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer will be sticking around at HBO even after “True Blood” ends its run in August 2014. The married couple, who met on the set of the vampire drama, had their production company CASM sign a two-year first look deal to develop series, movies and miniseries. – Production has begun on Starz’ basketball-themed half-hour comedy, “Survivor’s Remorse.” The show, which is filming in Atlanta, comes from LeBron James and Mike O’Malley (among other producers) and follows a superstar basketball player in his early 20s who achieves incredible success. The show will premiere in the fall of 2014.

– Diane von Furstenberg is heading to the small screen. “The DVF Project” (working title) will premiere on E! in late 2014. On the series, Furstenberg will allow a group of women access into her “empire” for a chance to earn the title of her DVF Global Brand Ambassador.

“My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic” will return for a fifth season on the Hub Network in 2015. The animated series will have 26 new episodes in its new season.

– NBC News has named a new head of “Today.” ESPN executive Jamie Horowitz will act as the senior vice president and manager of the show starting in December. He’s set to leave ESPN in September. [THR]
– Reg E. Cathey, a “The Wire” alum who recently appeared on “House of Cards” and “Grimm,” is jumping onto a big movie franchise. He’s joined 20th Century Fox’s “The Fantastic Four” reboot, and will play Dr. Storm. Dr. Storm is the scientist father of Johnny Storm (Michael B. Jordan) and Sue Storm (Kate Mara). – HBO has renewed “Vice,” its news magazine series, for two more seasons. Season 3 of the Shane Smith-hosted program will premiere in 2015 for 14 episodes, while Season 4 will follow in 2016.
