The news that the Ultimate Warrior died Tuesday (April 8) at 54 years old shook the professional wrestling world to its very core. Warrior (born James Hellwig) had just returned to WWE Saturday to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, his first appearance with the company in nearly two decades.
The homecoming was well-received by fans and wrestlers alike, as Warrior was showered with applause three nights in a row, last appearing Monday on “WWE Raw.” Immediately after news of his death was announced by WWE, wrestling personalities took to social media to mourn the loss of one of their own.
