When Alec Baldwin said he wasn’t going after “Comedy Central laughs,” maybe what he meant to say is he was avoiding humor altogether with his new MSNBC talk show, “Up Late with Alec Baldwin.”
A teaser has been released for the show and it’s shockingly unfunny. Sure, no one expects the second coming of “The Daily Show,” but Baldwin is a pretty funny guy when he wants to.
Hopefully, Baldwin finds his sense of humor and is able to have a little bit of fun with the show. The guy’s too charismatic to simply play the straight man. “Up Late with Alec Baldwin” airs Fridays at 10 p.m. ET on MSNBC.

Chris E. Hayner is equal parts nerd, crazy person and coffee. He watches too much TV, knows more about pro wrestling than you do and remembers every single show from the TGIF lineup. You may have seen him as a pro-shark protester in "Sharknado 3." His eventual memoir will be called "You're Wrong, Here's Why..." TV words to live by: "I'm a firm believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing."
