Julia Louis-Dreyfus is an Emmy and Golden Globe winner thanks to her role in HBO’s “Veep,” but still on of the best parts of her job is getting to meet her real-life counterpart. The former “Seinfeld” star reveals she was seated next to Vice President Joe Biden at a White House dinner honored French President Francois Hollande held Feb. 11.
“That was an unforgettable evening. Thank u @JoeBiden @BarackObama @MichelleObama,” Louis-Dreyfus tweets along with a picture showing herself with Biden.
According to ABC News, Louis-Dreyfus said sitting next to Biden was her favorite part of the evening. At that point in the interview, the affable VP butted in, “Hey, stop screwin’ around, she’s my date!” before laughing and adding, “Just kidding.”
This isn’t the first time Louis-Dreyfus has met President Barack Obama‘s Veep. The pair also met in April 2013 during a lunch at the White House when Louis-Dreyfus discovered that Biden’s staff avidly watch and relate to “Veep.”
“It was just bizarre,” she said of the revelation on “Chelsea Lately.”
