Want to catch up on “Veronica Mars” before the feature film release on March 14? If so, you will need an Amazon Prime Instant Video subscription — the online service has announced that it will be available exclusively through them.
“The Veronica Mars series has been popular on DVD and Amazon Instant Video for years, so we know how much Amazon customers love this iconic television show,” said Amazon’s Brad Beale in a statement. “We are excited to become the exclusive subscription streaming home for ‘Veronica Mars’ and to be able to offer the entire TV series to Prime members to enjoy at no additional charge.”
The first two seasons of “Veronica Mars” originally aired on UPN, with a third and final season appearing on The CW. DVD collections are also available for those who want to watch — or re-watch — the Kickstarter-funded movie starring Kristen Bell.
As for the premiere of the movie itself, the South by Southwest 2014 festival has announced that “Veronica Mars” will have its premiere during the annual Austin, Texas event. The movie is one of several announced as part of the SXSW film lineup on Thursday (Jan. 9). SXSW runs from March 7 to 15 in Austin, Texas. “Veronica Mars” will also have a panel at Paleyfest on March 13, the night before it comes out in theaters on March 14.
