Thomas didn’t know the details about how “Veronica Mars” might be represented at the official convention, but something will be happening there. Whether it’s just autograph-signing at the Warner Brothers booth or a full panel, the movie will indeed be at the SDCC.
More importantly, Thomas and at least some of the “Veronica Mars” cast will host a private event in San Diego’s Gaslamp District. A Q&A session, along with viewing of exclusive footage from the upcoming film, will be part of the event on Friday, July 19 at 7:30pm.
For fans who simply must be a part of this, there will be two new Kickstarter pledge levels available to help. The SDCC Fan Package will give the backer a reserved seat at the fan event — useful since all other seating will be first-come, first-serve. Another reward, the SDCC VIP package, guarantees a seat near the front of the event plus admission to a meet & greet earlier on the same day.
The Kickstarter campaign is planning to announce the costs (and possibly even more details) for these packages on Thursday (April 11) at 1pm Eastern time.
