Spoilers — Really, watch Episode 2 already.
Remember Merle Dixon (Michael Rooker), the uh, jerk who started beating up T-Dog (IronE Singleton) on the rooftop in Atlanta and then got left behind because the keys to his shackles got lost? Well, he’s missed when the team returns to camp too. Andrea (Laurie Holden) and Morales (Juan Gabriel Pareja) aren’t the only ones who had family back at the camp.
Merle’s brother Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) is very similar to Merle in temperament, if you know what we mean. Let’s just say he’s a little rough around the edges … and maybe a little volatile. The upside of Daryl is that he’s a good hunter and provides food — even if it’s just squirrels he’s caught — for the camp.

Yeah, we’d be a little miffed too. Zap2it also talked to Reedus, who gives us a little insight into Daryl during the red carpet premiere of “The Walking Dead.” We have to say, he’s a little shifty on his feet, but he doesn’t disappoint.
Just for the record, this interview occurred about three weeks before “The Walking Dead” was picked up for a 13-episode second season. Good on you,AMC!
