One day before if premieres on Showtime, the “House of Lies Live” comedy special has debuted online. The half-hour program puts the Season 3 cast of “House of Lies” in the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater in Los Angeles to perform improvisational comedy in front of a live audience.
The main four cast members (Don Cheadle, Kristen Bell, Ben Schwartz and Josh Lawson) are joined by new series additions Lauren Lapkus, Ryan Gaul and Eugene Cordero to act out situations based on audience suggestion. Cheadle and Bell may be new to improvisation, but they take to it like naturals. Likewise, Schwartz and Lawson, both veterans of improv comedy, shine.
“House of Lies Live” debuts on Showtime Tuesday (Dec. 31), while Season 3 of “House of Lies” premieres Jan. 12.

Chris E. Hayner is equal parts nerd, crazy person and coffee. He watches too much TV, knows more about pro wrestling than you do and remembers every single show from the TGIF lineup. You may have seen him as a pro-shark protester in "Sharknado 3." His eventual memoir will be called "You're Wrong, Here's Why..." TV words to live by: "I'm a firm believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing."
