Between acting out 29 Tom Hanks movies in six minutes with Hanks himself and now playing a raucous game of carpool karaoke with Mariah Carey, James Corden is off to a blazing start as host of “The Late Late Show.”

Watch above as the host and the songstress drive around Los Angeles, singing a medley of Carey’s tunes, including “Always Be My Baby,” the “Fantasy” remix and “Vision of Love.” But what is also kind of amazing is how in between the songs, Carey and Corden show off their accent work — New York, London, Southern. Who knew Carey had such an arsenal of vocal weapons besides her five-octave range?

It’s hilarious to watch her cut loose but do it to her own music. It seems fairly easy now to picture her doing this in her own car — do you suppose at Christmastime, Mariah Carey can’t stop playing “All I Want for Christmas Is You”? Let’s hope so.
