As part of his reaching out to a younger generation, President Barack Obama has appeared on various late night shows and uses a Twitter account. Now he’s sitting down for Zach Galifianakis’ satirical online interview show “Between Two Ferns.”

The interview has the patented awkwardness of the usual “BTF,” though the president got in a few good cracks:

  • “When I heard people actually watch this show, I was actually pretty surprised.”
  • “If I ran a third time, it’d sort of be like doing a third ‘Hangover’ movie.”
  • “I’m not gonna let [Michelle] near you.”

But the point of the interview is to plug the affordable care act website and 800 number, though at least they don’t pretend it’s a plug. Then it ends with a “reveal” that Galifianakis has been filming his interview from the diplomatic room of the White House all these years, which was funny.

What did you think, viewers?
