For the Season 26 premiere of “The Simpsons,” titled “Clown in the Dumps,” the Griffin family from fellow FOX animation domination show “Family Guy” are heading to Springfield for a crossover episode. Check out the first footage of the episode above, which debuted at Comic-Con 2014.

The crossover episode is also the episode where one of “The Simpsons” characters gets killed off — no word as to whether a Griffin is involved. But the “Family Guy” writers, who were responsible for the “Simpsons”-“Family Guy” crossover, recently told the TCA summer press tour audience that Bob from “Bob’s Burgers” also makes a cameo. Finally, fans can also look forward to a “Simpsons”-“Futurama” crossover airing in November on FOX.

“Clown in the Dumps” premieres Sunday, Sept. 28 on FOX.
