Actor Tom Hanks is on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Wednesday (Dec. 12), where he talks about his marriage — he and wife Rita Wilson celebrated 25 years together this year — and then they “ice skate” to “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”

“We decided to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary by postponing the actual party,” says Hanks. “I was working on Broadway at the time so, we can’t have a party now, so later on in the year we’re just going to have a big blast and we have yet to figure out when it’s going to be.”

Heh. If they’re not careful, it’ll actually be a 26th wedding anniversary party, since they got married in April 1988.

Ellen then gives Hanks a glorious “Charlie Brown Christmas” sweater and the ice skating begins (photos below). Because as Hanks says, “Christmas time does not begin… the season does not officially start until you have watched ‘Merry Christmas Charlie Brown.'”
