Some of you may have noticed your FOX programming was a little weird Wednesday night (Oct. 17) — “Ben and Kate” rerun, a weirdly abbreviated new “X Factor,” like 10 minutes of a “Mindy Project” rerun and then more baseball.
What happened was the NLCS Game 3, which started at 4 p.m. ET, had a 3.5 hour rain delay. When the station wasn’t sure if it would come back in primetime, it aired a rerun of “Ben and Kate.” Then it decided to start showing the brand new “X Factor.” Then when it looked like play would resume, it weirdly flipped over to a “Mindy Project” rerun and announced “The X Factor’s” third judges’ home episode would air in its entirety on Tuesday, Oct. 23.
However, we’ve seen a good chunk of it so far, so here’s a recap if you’re interested:
Britney’s House (teens)
Britney says she had totally different ideas about who should advance after they performed at her house, which is interesting. When she comes out to tell them, the soundtrack call by the editors is that song where Britney ends up dead in the bathtub because of Stephen Dorff. Heh.
The ones who advance from this group are Diamond White, Carly Rose Sonenclar, Arin Ray and Beatrice Miller, leaving Reed Deming and James Tanner going home. That’s exactly who we would’ve picked, so good job, Brit-Brit.
L.A. Reid’s House (over 25s)
Out of L.A.’s contestants, we’d keep Jason, Tara, Vino and Tate, but L.A. ends up keeping David Correy, Jason Brock, Tate Stevens and Vino Alan. Bummer for Tara Simon, we liked her a lot. We’re not sure she’s the next Xtina or Kelly or Carrie, but we did like her. Daryl Black is the other one eliminated.
Demi Lovato’s House (18-24 year-olds)
We would keep Jillian Jensen, Cece Frey, Willie Jones and Paige Thomas, but Demi chooses to keep Jennel Garcia, Willie Jones — and that’s it. That’s all we got to see.
What do you think of the choices so far, “X Factor” fans?
