Whitney Houston’s family canceled a planned public memorial for the singer who died on Feb. 11, but apparently they will be sharing their private family funeral with the whole world via the Internet.
According to the Associated Press, Houston’s funeral will be broadcast live on Saturday. The service is scheduled to take place at Noon ET on Saturday in Newark, N.J. at New Hope Baptist Church where Houston sang as a child.
TV viewers will also be able to watch on E! and BET. Both channels will begin their special coverage at 11:30 a.m. ET
A eulogy will be given by gospel singer Marvin Winans and other speakers include her “Bodyguard” co-star Kevin Costner and mentor Clive Davis. Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder will perform.
In an invitation to the event obtained by TMZ, the family is referring to the burial ceremony as a “home going service.”
