WWE and 2K games are ready to make their next generation gaming debut. “WWE 2K15” will be the first installment of the wrestling simulator to release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, in addition to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
For this momentous occasion, they’ve chosen none other than new WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena to be features as the cover superstar. “It is truly an honor and privilege to serve as the ‘WWE 2K15’ cover superstar,” Cena says in a release. “2K has a tremendous history of sports simulation games and cover athletes, including Michael Jordan, Kevin Durant, LeBron James and of course, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. I look forward to carrying the flag for ‘WWE 2K15’ and introducing the incredible next-generation of WWE gaming to the WWE Universe.”
It’s worth noting the cover uses the newer WWE Network logo, rather than the classic scratch insignia. It’s been expected that the company would move to using the new look full time.
2K has yet to reveal any details about that the game will include, other than to say they aim for it to be the best version of the title yet. “WWE 2K15” is in stores October 28.
