Bristol Palin has announced she is pregnant with her second child, and doesn’t seem too happy about the kind of reaction she will get by having another baby out-of-wedlock.
The Christian advocate chose to release the news on her own accord in a post on her blog Thursday (June 25).
“I wanted you guys to be the first to know that I am pregnant,” she writes. “Honestly, I’ve been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one.”
Palin acknowledges that some people may not take too kindly she is having yet another child as an unmarried woman, which doesn’t fit within the Palin family’s conservative Christian views.
“I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you,” Palin says. “At the end of the day there’s nothing I can’t do with God by my side, and I know I am fully capable of handling anything that is put in front of me with dignity and grace.”
Palin gave birth to her first child Tripp with then fiance Levi Johnston in 2008 when she was 18-years-old. The teen’s pregnancy was a highly discussed topic during her mom Sarah’s Republican presidential candidate race.
No word yet on who the father of the new baby is, but her most recent public relationship was with Medal of Honor recipient Sgt. Dakota Meyer. The two were supposed to get married May 23, but the wedding was called off for undisclosed reasons.
