Bristol Palin is not pleased that President Barack Obama invited Ahmed Mohamed, the 14-year old Texan teen who was arrested for making a homemade clock, to the White House to encourage kids to like science.
“In case you missed it. The President invited Ahmed Mohamed to visit the White House to show the President his homemade clock,” Palin writes on her blog. “This is the kind of stuff Obama needs to STAY out of. This encourages more racial strife that is already going on with the ‘Black Lives Matter’ crowd and encourages victimhood.”
The president invited Mohamed to the White House after the teen brought a homemade clock to school and his English teacher thought it was a bomb. He was arrested and questioned for several hours before being released, but garnered tweets of support from many influential people.
However, Palin believes that President Obama’s gesture to Mohamed is playing “childish games” and encourages further distrust of police.
“The police made a mistake, clearly. But why put more people against them? Why egg it on?” Palin asks. “Childish games like this from our president have divided our country… even more today than when he was elected.”
