Chrissy Teigen cannot wait to get pregnant the next go around. Yes, she is still pregnant with her first child with husband John Legend. However, Teigen expresses her excitement to hear multiple sounds of pitter-patter around the home.
The 30-year-old model and co-host of “Lip Sync Battle” says that despite the challenges she had to conceive her first child, she is looking forward to doing it all over again.
“I think I’ll probably be pregnant all through my 30s,” she said in an interview with Self magazine. “I’ve always pictured everyone around the table for the holidays and together once a week. It’ll be heartbreaking if it doesn’t end up happening, but hopefully it will. We’ve got some embryos on hold.”
She adds that her pregnancy notion doesn’t mean that she wants to give birth to an entire basketball team. Teigen says that she hopes to count her children on one hand.
“Four is good, I think. And then, maybe a dog after,” she clarifies. “I hope that when we do have those four kids, John and I can look at each other and know that it’s us against them. We are going to love the s*** out of our kids, but we are going to team up and fight in pairs!”
Both Teigen and Legend conceived their unborn baby girl via IVF. Teigen reveals that her “partner in crime” helped make the process feel more relaxing for her.
“One of the things that saved us is that we never did that real fertility thing, where you’re looking at the ovulation clock and saying, ‘Honey, get home; we have to do it right now,” Teigen shares. “John would say, ‘Let’s never be that couple that has to schedule sex, where we put it on the calendar and say, OK, this is our night.’ So before we did IVF, even if we went a few days or a week, our feeling was, it’s cool, who cares?”
Teigen is due to give birth in mid-April. Let’s see if the model will be sticking to her “pregnancy through her 30s” plan once she has actually gone through labor.
