Actress Courteney Cox and Snow Patrol guitarist Johnny McDaid have called it quits, according to TMZ.
The “Friends” star and the rocker began dating back in 2013, after being introduced by musician Ed Sheeran, and announced their engagement six months later in June 2014.
But apparently her social lifestyle was too much for the low-key and private McDaid.
“Johnny had a hard time dealing with her celebrity lifestyle,” a source tells Radar Online. “He had enough of the scene and just wants to focus on his music.”
Sources reveal that it wasn’t an easy decision, and that the two tried counseling to work out their issues. But in the end, the 39-year-old rocker moved out of Cox’s Malibu and Los Angles homes just before Thanksgiving and flew back home to England.
Cox, 51, was previously married to actor David Arquette, with whom she has an 11-year-old daughter, Coco. This would’ve been the first marriage for McDaid.
