You all remember Roman Burtsev, right? He’s the 33-year-old tech support manager who found some unexpected fame come his way earlier in the year when the Internet recognized his resemblance to one Leonardo DiCaprio. Since then, it seems that Burtsev — who also goes by “Russian Leo” and “Fat Leonardo DiCaprio” — has been milking his likeness for all it’s worth.

His most recent outing has the man teaming up with Five Lakes vodka, resulting in the above commercial. From the get-go, the Russian vodka brand focuses on the DiCaprio angle to make for one rather odd TV spot. Looking into the rearview mirror, which has a pic of Leo stuck next to it, things only get stranger. A tracksuit wearing Burtsev is revealed to be driving a fake BMW, with a fake model girlfriend and the theme of falsehoods continues to play out. Everything here is fake … except for the vodka, of course.

To keep the advertisement relevant — because a Russian vodka commercial apparently needs that? — the ad closes with Burtsev rowing off in a boat, a la “The Revenant.” Hey, if you think that is strange, check out some of “Russian Leo’s” Instagram posts. Not for nothing, but it feels like Roman here has hit peak Leo. Where do we go from here?

When he was a child, Aaron memorized the entire television lineup, just for fun. He once played Charlize Theron’s boyfriend in a Japanese car commercial. Aaron’s a lover of burritos and a hater of clowns. TV words to live by: "Strippers do nothing for me, but I will take a free breakfast buffet any time, any place."
