Author J.K. Rowling once asked fans, “Does anyone know where Avada Kedavra came from? It is an ancient spell in Aramaic, and it is the original of Abracadabra, which means ‘let the thing be destroyed.'” Now perhaps she wishes that she could use that spell in real life against presidential candidate Donald Trump.
BBC News recently released an article about how Trump is being compared to He Who Must Not Be Named on social media outlets, and Rowling took to Twitter to share her opinion on this comparison, saying that Voldemort is “nowhere near as bad.”
After the tragic shooting in San Bernardino, CA., in which Trump announced it makes “complete sense” to ban all Muslims from the U.S. as a precautionary measure, there was a surge in people uttering of the name Voldemort in the same sentence with the name Trump.
Where is Harry Potter when you need him!? Apparently, the bespectacled wizard might be needed to save the world from another highly evil, cartoonish character.
