Actor John Stamos has officially been charged with driving under the influence, according to the LA County District Attorney’s Office.
The “Grandfathered” star was arrested on June 12 when police responded to a call about erratic driving. Stamos was taken to the hospital and charged with misdemeanor DUI.
There was no indication in the report of what Stamos was allegedly under the influence of at the time, but Buzzfeed previously confirmed it was GHB. Stamos was allegedly taking GHB as a fitness supplement; it is often used by bodybuilders to build lean muscle.
Following the arrest, Stamos entered rehab. The formal DUI charge could earn Stamos up to six months in jail, but since this is his first offense and he already completed a stint in rehab, he will most likely receive probation. Stamos’ arraignment is scheduled for Thursday (Oct. 16).
