Details are beginning to emerge on the 27-year-old man who shot and killed “The Voice” singer Christina Grimmie Friday (June 10) in Orlando at a concert.

CNN is reporting that the shooter has been identified as Kevin James Loibl; after shooting Grimmie and being tackled to the ground by her brother, Loibl killed himself.

Orlando police released an undated mugshot of Loibl on Saturday (above).

According to Orlando police Chief John Mina, Loibl “traveled to Orlando apparently to commit this crime.” It is believed that he did not personally know Grimmie.

TMZ is reporting that Loibl lived in St. Petersburg and “cops say he’d made plans to return to St. Pete after the show … an indication he felt he could get away with the murder.”

Loibl reportedly walked up to Grimmie as she signed autographs after her performance, carrying two handguns, two additional loaded magazines and a large hunting knife on his person. Police have spent much of Saturday going through Loibl’s computer, phone and additional belongings, attempting to piece together the motivations of the killer.

In the aftermath of the shooting, the Plaza Live Venue in Orlando has announced that all events are cancelled “until further notice.” According to police, security measures at the venue were very minimal the night of the show, with unarmed security guards checking bags and purses as people entered.

Several of Grimmie’s “Voice” co-stars paid tribute to the onetime contestant Saturday. “Behati and I are absolutely devastated and heartbroken by Christina Grimmie’s death,” tweeted Adam Levine, Grimmie’s coach on the sixth season. “Our hearts go out to her family.”

Blake Shelton also reacted in disbelief, tweeting: “I’m stunned and disgusted and heartbroken that we lost that sweet little girl … Keeping [her] family in my heart and mind.”

Christina Aguilera also posted a photo of herself with Grimmie. “So sad passing of @TheRealGrimmie. Beautiful member of #TheVoice family & true #Fighter. My heart goes out to her family, friends & fans. xo”

“Voice” Host Carson Daily also voiced his dismay. “So sad about @TheRealGrimmie. I’m still in shock. She was special. Had IT. Talented. Kind. Funny. Loving. Courageous. We hurt w her family.”
