Rumer Willis is back in her dancing shoes, and she couldn’t be happier. The “Dancing With the Stars” alum is currently training to make her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in “Chicago,” and took to Instagram to share a status update with her fans.

“So happy and tired after my first day back dancing,” she writes. “I am so grateful for everyone who put up with me while I was so miserable in my boot not being able to dance and for the amazing people that got me back on my feet again. #nevergiveup #Broadway #livinthedream”

After landing the role of Roxie in July, Willis needed to delay her start date to allow for more healing time for multiple stress fractures in her feet. The injury caused her to sit out the rest of the “Dancing With the Stars” live tour.

Willis’s run begins at the Ambassador Theatre in New York City on Sept. 14, and will continue for seven weeks, through Nov. 1.
