Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” was already a kick-butt song with an awesome video to match, but it becomes even more epic when read by one of Hollywood’s most iconic voices, one Sam Elliott.
Before starting in on the lyrics, the recent “Justified” star intones, “My apologies to Taylor Swift. Are you gonna get sued by her? Am I?”
T-Swizzle’s reaction would probably be one of delight, honestly. She loved Ryan Adams covering “1989” and Kelly Clarkson taking on “Blank Space.” What’s not to love about Virgil Earp himself baritoning his way through “Bad Blood”?
“Rub it in so deep, salt in the wound like you’re laughing right at me. Oh, it’s so sad to think about the good times, you and I, ’cause baby, now we got bad blood,” growls Elliot, though the best part is the “hey” at the end.
Elliott’s latest film, “Grandma,” co-starring Lily Tomlin and Marcia Gay Harden, is in theaters now.
