Sinead OConner performs in New York City

Irish singer Sinead O’Connor had her Facebook followers worried when the singer posted a very emotional and distressed message on Nov. 29. In a long rant, O’Connor wrote about her treatment by her family and how she feels abandoned by them during a tough period in her life that included struggling with the aftermath of a hysterectomy and her child’s illness as well. ”

O’Connor ended the rambling and slightly incomprehensible message with “My children don’t care if I live r die anyway. Neither do their dads. Everyone is better off. Never ever do this to a woman again. Let this be your lesson.”

Causing particular concern was a part of the message where O’Connor suggested that she might be contemplating suicide and may have attempted to overdose. “The last two nights finished me off. I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect.”

Also, worryingly, O’Connor claimed to not be at her home. “I am not at home, I’m at a hotel, somewhere in Ireland, under another name,” she wrote.
