Upon her release from federal prison, Teresa Giudice had a very emotional reunion with her four daughters and husband, Joe.
The 43-year-old star of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” received an early release from what was suppose to be a 15-month stint in the federal pen the day before Christmas Eve (Dec. 23). Back in March she was indicted and sentenced for multiple counts of fraud along with her husband.
Giudice’s attorney, James J. Leonard Jr., drove the reality star home from prison to reunite with her family, according to a report from E! News. “It was very emotional,” he describes. “It was a private moment but it was very emotional, very powerful and it was something to see.”
While in prison, Giudice was able to have socialize with her family via visits, phone calls and emails. However, Leonard says that his client was extremely anxious about coming home.
“Gia was up early this morning and then the younger ones started to get up,” he says. “I think they got a little bit of sleep. I got no sleep. Teresa says that she didn’t sleep at all. Joe slept a little bit. I think everyone is going to sleep well tonight, myself included.”
Giudice will be subject to home confinement, wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet, until Feb. 5. Bravo reports that she will spend the holidays with her brother Joe Gorga, who is married to fellow “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star, Melissa.
“She’s very happy to be here,” Leonard continues. “She’s very much looking forward to a nice quiet low key holiday with her family.”
