Michelle Ghent Terrence Howard Bing Bar

A Los Angeles judge resolved Terrence Howard’s spousal support case with ex-wife Michelle Ghent on Monday (Aug. 24). Superior Court Judge Thomas Trent Lewis tossed out the spousal support agreement, but made sure to note he believes Howard is a bully.

“There’s no question in my mind Terrence Howard is a bully,” Judge Lewis says according to the Los Angeles Times, adding that bullies can be bullied too.

The “Empire” actor alleges that he signed the spousal support agreement under duress. According to TMZ Ghent felt she deserved more than the $5,800 a month he was paying her. Howard claims Ghent was blackmailing him with unreleased nude videos and photos if he didn’t increase the amount of money he was paying her.

Judge Lewis determined “the evidence of extortion or duress was unrebutted,” and tossed out the case. Ghent’s lawyers denied the extortion claims.

Now that Ghent can’t try to claim any of Howard’s “Empire” earnings, the pair will need to renegotiate their spousal support agreement in family law court, TMZ reports.
