The Walt Disney World Christmas parade has been pre-recording performances by its star-studded lineup this week. On Thursday (Nov. 12), pop star Ariana Grande was three hours late for her performance, so to pass the time, producers were letting audience members tell jokes or sing songs by handing a microphone around in the crowd, according to Inquistr.

Until the microphone got to Rhett Wheeler. This young man had such a gorgeous voice that producers immediately told him to get on stage, where he launched into a beautiful rendition of “The Prayer” — accompanied by the legendary David Foster.

The best part, as can be seen in a video of the performance from another angle, is that he wore his Mickey Mouse ears the whole time.

Wheeler re-posted the viral video on his own Facebook page, writing, “I am so honored to have performed this song with David Foster! Thank you Mr. Foster and Walt Disney World. What a thrill.”

According to Wheeler’s official website, he trained at the New School University in New York and now tours on luxury cruise ships. He has also sung with Dolly Parton and performed in regional theater in California.

Perhaps Grande’s lateness will make one young man the next Broadway superstar.
