Derrick Rose is in hot water, as reports are emerging of a lawsuit that claims the NBA athlete drugged and gang raped a woman.
Identified as Jane Doe in the suit, TMZ says the woman claims that she dated Rose from 2011-2013. She says that the basketball player pressured her to do such things as engage in group sex with strangers, which she refused. But when Rose, his friend/manager Randall Hampton and another friend named Ryan Allen invited her to the athlete’s Beverly Hills residence, she says they slipped a date-rape drug into her drink.
The suit further alleges that although “Jane Doe” was able to escape the house, Rose and his friends later invaded her apartment and forcibly gang-raped her while she was blacked out. She claims to only remember “flashes” of the events, and waited two years to file the lawsuit because she was “ashamed and embarrassed” and has a “conservative family” she had hoped to keep in the dark.
TMZ reached out to a lawyer for the Bulls point guard for comment, as well as details on the suit’s unspecified damages, but has yet to receive a response.
