"Deadpool" fans were in for a real treat at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards. When star Ryan Reynolds won for Best Comedic Performance, who should be there to perform before his acceptance speech but Salt-N-Pepa themselves?

The hip hop duo performed part of their 1993 hit "Shoop," which featured prominently in "Deadpool." They were flanked by "Deadpool" back-up dancers and it was pretty much everything.

But wait, there's more!

Reynolds gave typical wry and sarcastic acceptance speech. Deadpool would be proud.

"For starters, I'm really glad ... I'm really glad Amy Schumer didn't win, that would have been really weird for those dancers," says Reynolds, before turning serious for a second.

"I have been trying to get a 'Deadpool' movie made for a little bit over a decade and actually I failed it. It was you, the fans, who got this movie made. You pushed it over the top and you did it. The reason I'm standing up here is because of you guys. We had a blast working on this movie, but it wasn't all unicorns and cocaine. This cast and crew gave their last drop of blood to make the most authentic Deadpool movie possible."

Reynolds ended by thanking his wife, Blake Lively.

"I want to thank my wife, Blake. Everything I do is to make her laugh, especially the sex. So, thanks guys."
