Marvel is doing everything they can to make sure “Avengers” fans know “Ant-Man” is connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That includes releasing a 30-second promo for a fake news show hosted by Christine Everhart (Leslie Bibb), who appeared in “Iron Man” and “Iron Man 2.”

The teaser for “WHIH News Front” features Everhart promising, “We’ll discuss the fallout of the most recent Avengers conflict in Sokovia, and the ongoing aid efforts in that region.” Sokovia was the fictional Eastern European country that serves as the war zone for the final showdown between the Avengers and Ultron in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”

She then promised an update on Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), a “cyber criminal” set to be released from prison. In “Ant-Man,” Lang is taken under the wing of Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) to become the shrinking superhero.

The faux news program has also launched a Twitter account and Google Plus page, promising an “exclusive story” on Lang to be released Tuesday, July 7.

“Ant-Man” hits theaters July 17.
